NATHALIE CANIZALES

Nathalie Canizales holds a Law Degree from the Centro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superior (CETYS UNIVERSIDAD, Mexicali Baja California) and an Intellectual and Industrial Property Specialization Degree as well as a Constitutional Law Master’s Degree, both from Universidad Panamericana (Mexico City).

She has more than 7 years of professional practice and more than 5 years of experience in Intellectual Property issues. Its professional practice is focused on providing advice to national and international clients in trademark matters; designing legal protection strategies for distinctive signs; filing and prosecution of trademark applications; opposition procedures; portfolio management; licenses and assignments; inscription of literary and artistic works, among others. 

Nathalie’s practice also includes defense and exercise of intellectual property rights (including cancellation and infringement actions), as well as appeals before Federal and Constitutional Courts, mainly in the matters of trademarks and patents.  

She has also participated in numerous courses including: “Privacy and Protection: Data Protection in Mexico”, “The Madrid Protocol”, “Mexico and its adhesion to the Madrid Protocol”, “Filing online trademark applications”, among others. 

Nathalie has written several articles related to intellectual property matters. Furthermore, Nathalie has been a professor at the Law and Business School of the Centro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superior (Mexicali and Tijuana) since 2016.
